Dear Federal Employees:

Serving as the Chair of the Combined Federal Campaign for the Sacramento-Nor Cal Area in 2008 is an honor that I take seriously.

Federal employees have long upheld an outstanding tradition for opening their hearts and giving to those in their community. Our theme this year is "Be a Star in Someoneís Life." All of us, at some point in our lives, will be touched by the services provided by one or more of the nonprofit agencies in this year's Charity List and that gives every one of us a chance to be a star. The agencies in 2008ís Charity List deal with anything from meals for seniors, the environment, and global hunger, to research for diseases and programs in the Arts. CFC supports many nonprofit agencies throughout our community. They count on our support to fund the programs that offer much needed services.

As federal employees your contribution to the CFC is very important. Together we are helping those that are less fortunate and we are making this world a better place to live as we become stars in the lives of others.
